Climate Leadership 2019 award
Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners (“Quinbrook”) is proud to confirm that The Centre for Climate Finance and Investment at Imperial College Business School London, sponsored by Quinbrook, has won two accolades at the Finance for the Future Awards 2019.
The Centre won the award for Driving Change Through Education, Training and Academia, beating competitors from other academic institutions (including Harvard Business School), think tanks, and global banks/corporate institutions. This award recognises contribution to driving action towards integrated thinking through education, training and academia. The Centre was also recognised with the top award for Climate Leadership 2019. The awards are a great recognition of the energy and enthusiasm of all of those involved in the MSc and the Centre over the past few years. The judges commented:
Imperial College Business School empowers finance professionals with the knowledge to take action on climate change. It aims to fill the knowledge gap about the business case for a global zero-carbon transition. Their education programmes are relevant, timely and accessible, specifically targeted to a financial audience, defining and quantifying investment risks and opportunities. Imperial’s leadership is clearly contributing towards a critical mass of multi-disciplinary, climate-informed finance professionals. This year’s winner offers distinctive and compelling climate education for the financial sector, drawing on science, technology, economics, finance and accounting. It stood out because the initiative is clear, credible and in a strong position to grow and have a broad impact.
David Scaysbrook, co-founder of Quinbrook, is Chairman of the Advisory Board at the Centre for Climate Finance and Investment at Imperial College Business School. Quinbrook is proud to have been so closely involved with this initiative from the very beginning. As the sponsor of the Centre, Quinbrook is delighted that the Centre is being recognised in this way and excelling above many other prestigious peers such as Harvard Business School. Imperial’s work is leading the way in innovative investor research and analysis around the energy transition now accelerating around the world.
