John is responsible for leading Quinbrook’s US investment team, working across existing and new investments in critical infrastructure with a focus on renewable and carbon-free power solutions. John is a member of Quinbrook’s Investment Committee

  • John joined Quinbrook from Amazon Web Services (“AWS”) where he was Head of Renewables and Energy Procurement and oversaw AWS’s renewable power procurement efforts across the Americas. During his time at AWS John’s team set records for renewable energy procurement by a corporate in back to back years with 4GW+ in 2020 and 6GW+ in 2021.   
  • Prior to his leadership role at AWS, John held commercial roles focused on global energy, renewable and infrastructure procurement at META (Facebook) as well as energy trading positions at Morgan Stanley and Shell Energy North America.  
  • John has considerable experience in business development, renewables, carbon-free supply and energy trading across global markets. 
  • John holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

Managing Director with over 22 years’ experience in making and managing energy-related infrastructure investments in Australia, the US, Europe and Africa

Brian is responsible for leading Quinbrook’s investment activities in Australia and is a member of the Investment Committee. He has been responsible for the global energy storage strategy, Australian data storage strategy and led the PPA negotiations, design and development of the Gemini Solar PV and BESS project in Nevada. He is a Board member on all the existing Australian portfolio businesses

  • Mr. Restall has led over US$ 6 billion of generation development and US$ 4 billion of generation construction projects during his career and has extensive experience in corporate strategy, business improvement, project and financial management.

  • Prior to his time with Quinbrook, Mr. Restall was the Chief Executive Officer of Cape Byron Power, a portfolio company currently managed by Quinbrook and previously managed by Capital Dynamics.  Mr. Restall held the role of CEO from the time of initial acquisition of the assets in 2013 through to August 2016.

  • Prior to Cape Byron, he was a Senior Business Development Manager at EnergyAustralia (a major Australian energy utility) between 2010 and 2013 with responsibilities including corporate strategy, thermal power development, renewable development and operational efficiency.

  • Between 2007 and 2009, Mr. Restall was the Business Development Manager at Drax Group plc in the United Kingdom, where he was a senior member of the team that developed, constructed and operated one of the world’s largest baseload renewable power plants.

  • Mr. Restall previously held various senior management construction roles at Shell, InterGen and Fluor Daniel, where he delivered power and mining projects in Australia, the UK and the Niger Delta.

At Dynegy, Hank was responsible for the commercial optimization of 26 GW of power generation assets diversified across multiple U.S.  states. He managed all wholesale market-facing activities including energy hedging, fuel procurement and logistics, asset management and capacity sales negotiations and oversaw the fundamental market analysis team. Under Hank’s leadership, that team developed and implemented power hedge strategies to mitigate commodity risk and basis exposure in multiple US power markets and led commercial due diligence efforts for the acquisition of operational energy infrastructure assets

  • Prior to Dynegy, Hank was Head of North American Power & Gas Sales, Trading and Origination at Deutsche Bank, managing natural gas, liquids and electricity trading, sales and origination. Hank was previously Director of Renewable Fuels Trading and Head of Electricity Trading at EDF Trading in London and later became Chief Operating Officer and Head of Trading for EDF Trading North America. Holly was lead in-house counsel for the global infrastructure equity fundraise, and responsible for legal and regulatory matters in connection with fund formation and capital raising efforts for the international private funds business. In addition, Holly managed corporate governance, regulatory and general legal matters across the UK, European, Middle East and Asian offices.
