London – 11 June 2026 – Quinbrook, a specialist investment manager focused exclusively on delivering the infrastructure needed for the energy transition, today announced the appointment of Tim Horneman as Regional Leader, Australia, further strengthening its global leadership team.
Tim’s appointment is the latest step in the leadership structure established following Brian Restall’s appointment as Chief Executive Officer in June 2025, creating a CEO-led operating model to drive the next phase of Quinbrook’s growth while retaining the strategic guidance of Quinbrook’s founders.
Tim joins Quinbrook’s global leadership team, led by Brian Restall, alongside Regional Leader North America, Giulia Siccardo and Regional Leader UK, Keith Gains.
Tim began as Managing Director in Quinbrook’s Australian team in February 2026, reporting to Brian Restall. Since then, Tim has managed the firm’s Australian business and has played a key role in advancing Quinbrook’s development and investment activities across one of the world’s most important energy transition markets. His appointment as Regional Leader formalises his responsibility for leading Quinbrook’s Australian investment team and business operations.
Tim has more than 20 years’ experience in leading large-scale energy and infrastructure investments in Australia. Prior roles include CFO and Deputy CEO of Australia’s largest natural gas consortium APLNG, a $25bn project, and Head of Strategic Partnerships and Investment Management roles for Origin Energy, Australia’s largest electricity retailer. His experience spans project development, financing, construction, operations and strategic partnerships across Australia’s energy sector.
Brian Restall said Tim’s appointment marks the next stage of Quinbrook’s leadership evolution initiated last year with the newly created CEO role and positions the firm strongly for its next phase of growth.
When I was appointed CEO, we outlined a leadership structure designed to empower exceptional leaders in each of our core markets while strengthening collaboration across our global business. Tim’s appointment as Regional Leader for Australia completes that structure and marks an important milestone in Quinbrook’s evolution as a founder-guided, CEO-led firm.
Since joining Quinbrook earlier this year, Tim has demonstrated outstanding leadership of our Australian business and has further strengthened our presence in a market that is central to Quinbrook’s past and future success.
Tim's experience further enhances Quinbrook's industrial DNA and, alongside Keith Gains in the UK and Giulia Siccardo in North America, completes a model that keeps decision-making close to our markets while leveraging the strength and expertise of our global platform. Together, we are well positioned to continue building Quinbrook as a leading specialist investor in the infrastructure needed for the energy transition.
Brian Restall
Chief Executive Officer, Quinbrook
Tim Horneman said he was excited to take on the role as Quinbrook continues to expand its activities across Australia.
Australia remains one of the world’s most attractive and important energy transition markets, with significant opportunities driven by industrialisation, electrification and digitalisation. Quinbrook has established itself as a leading specialist investor in energy transition infrastructure in its core markets, with a strong track record of developing and delivering high quality projects. I look forward to working with Brian, our global leadership team and colleagues across the business to continue building on that success and delivering value for our investors and stakeholders.
