UK’s First Nationally Significant Solar PV and Battery Storage Project, more than five times larger than any other UK solar project at time of consent, set to deliver 373 MW of solar and up to 350 MW (150 MW currently planned) of storage.
Cleve Hill Solar Park was the largest co-located solar and BESS project in UK history at the time of its consent, combining 373 MW of solar generation capacity with up to 350 MW (150 MW currently planned) of co-located battery storage. Located on the North Kent coast, the project is a flagship example for how co-located renewables can meet the country’s increasing demand for clean, secure, and resilient energy. After being acquired in 2021, Cleve Hill’s solar asset has reached commercial operations and is exporting power at full capacity.
With advanced grid services, biodiversity-focused land management, and the UK’s largest corporate power purchase agreement, Cleve Hill sets a new standard for large-scale renewables.
