A 690 MW solar and 1,416 MWh storage facility in Nevada, sold in stages from 2022 to 2024.

Gemini is one of the largest solar and battery storage projects ever built in the United States. Located 25 miles north of Las Vegas, Nevada, the project spans over 6,500 acres of federal land and features a 690 MWac solar array paired with a 380 MW / 1,416 MWh battery energy storage system. Developed by Primergy Solar and majority-owned by Quinbrook, Gemini is designed to deliver reliable, low-cost renewable power under a 25-year PPA with NV Energy. It provides enough energy to meet approximately 10% of Nevada’s peak demand – equivalent to powering over 260,000 homes – and is expected to displace up to 1.5 million metric tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually.

Quinbrook acquired the project in 2017 and, in 2022, APG acquired a 49% equity interest during construction. Gemini reached commercial operations in April 2024 and exemplifies large-scale clean energy deployment aligned with environmental stewardship and regional economic benefit.
