Acquired by Quinbrook in 2023, the company uses proprietary anaerobic digestion systems to produce biogas for use in a variety of end markets. Its first project delivered under Quinbrook’s ownership in Middlebury, Vermont, processes over 100,000 gallons of organic waste per day and generates enough power for local homes while cutting carbon emissions. PurposeEnergy partners with major food producers like Danone, Ben & Jerry’s and Cabot to transform industrial byproducts into sustainable energy. As Quinbrook’s lead investment in renewable fuels, PurposeEnergy supports decarbonisation goals while reducing landfill waste and strengthening regional energy resilience.
