SAINT is a biogas project located in St. Albans, Vermont that uses anaerobic digestion to convert organic waste to renewable electricity.
The project is co-located with a large ice cream production plant that provides feedstock directly to the project via an underground pipe. Supplemental feedstock is trucked in from the surrounding area. Biogas produced by the project is converted to renewable electricity and exported to the Vermont grid utilising a 1.014 MW genset located on site. SAINT began commercial operations in December 2024.
